Chippewa Falls Barbell Club
Hybrid Fitness is the home of Chippewa Falls Barbell Club, led by coach Derek Nette.
Chippewa Falls Barbell Club is a place for athletes who want to take their training to the next level through Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting. The club is built around bringing together people who enjoy training, getting stronger, pushing themselves, and being part of a team.

You don't need competition experience to be part of Chippewa Falls Barbell Club. If you have ever thought about competing in Olympic Weightlifting or Powerlifting but weren't sure where to start, this is a place to learn.
Derek works with athletes from beginners preparing for their first meet to experienced lifters looking to continue improving. Training can be built around your experience, goals, strengths, weaknesses, and competition schedule.
The club helps athletes with more than just workouts. We want you to understand the lifts, learn how to train for competition, know what to expect on meet day, and feel prepared when you step onto the platform.
Competition training can include:
Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting programming
Individualized training based on strengths and weaknesses
Technique work and video breakdown
Competition preparation and meet-day planning
Attempt selection and warm-up planning
Coaching and feedback throughout the training process
A team environment where lifters train and compete together
More Than Just a Place to Lift
The goal of Chippewa Falls Barbell Club is to build a local community around strength sports. You can have individual goals and your own training program while still being part of a team that supports each other.
For some athletes, the goal may be stepping onto the platform for the first time. For others, it may be hitting a new total, qualifying for a bigger competition, or seeing how far they can take the sport.
You don't have to already be a competitor. You just have to be willing to train, learn, and see what you're capable of.
